V.supple® Autumn Skin Edit 2026

Welcome to the big Autumn Edit

Autumn is the season where skin routines either get beautifully simple, or quietly chaotic. The weather shifts, indoor heating starts, wind picks up, and suddenly your skin can feel a step behind you.

This edition is bigger because V.supple® has grown. New products have landed, more are on the way, and our conversations with clinics, pharmacies, and partners have become deeper and more specific. This is your Autumn reset, in a magazine-style read.

Two-minute skim

Skin forecast for Autumn

What typically changes (and why it shows up fast)

  • Barrier feels drier, quicker: cooler air plus wind can increase that tight, slightly papery feeling.
  • Redness and reactivity can flare: temperature swings often make skin feel more easily unsettled.
  • Lips, hands, and neck complain first: these areas tend to show dehydration and irritation early.
  • Body skin becomes “scratchy”: showers feel hotter, air feels drier, and the body can feel rough or itchy.

The Autumn goal

A routine that prioritises comfort, consistent hydration, and barrier support, without overdoing it.

What’s new at V.supple® (the last three months)

New arrivals since the last Skin Edit

  • V.supple® Nourish: lightweight body oil for dry, delicate skin with a fast-absorbing satin finish.
  • V.supple® PureLash Conditioner: a botanical lash and brow conditioning oil, designed for sensitive eyes.

What’s coming next

  • V.supple® DermaVeil+ (due early March): next-generation recovery gel matrix for post-treatment or sensitive skin moments.
  • V.supple® Calmcare Serum Mist (in production, due May): a calming, easy-to-use mist format for comfort-on-the-go.
  • V.supple® HydraLip+ Lip Balm (due June): a rich ointment-style lip balm designed for serious comfort and barrier feel.

COSA Conference trade display

One of the most energising things we have done recently is getting out from behind the screen and into real conversations.

Our COSA Conference trade display was all about:

  • Letting people feel textures in real life (because that is where trust is built)
  • Explaining formulation philosophy clearly: comfort first, barrier support, and no unnecessary noise
  • Listening to what clinicians and teams are seeing: what patients ask for, where routines break down, and what “gentle” actually needs to mean

If you visited us, thank you. Those conversations shape what we prioritise next.

Stockists, partners, and a growing distributor network

Our network is expanding, and it is making access easier across pharmacies and specialist clinics.

The Product Ritual Edit

A simple, repeatable Autumn routine that feels good on real skin.

Morning: calm, hydrated, protected

  1. Cleanse gently
  2. Hydrating layer (serum or mist)
  3. Moisturiser as needed
  4. V.supple® Radiance+: press 4 to 5 drops over the top for comfort and glow
  5. SPF

Evening: repair energy, less friction

  1. Cleanse (double cleanse if you wore makeup or SPF)
  2. Hydration layer
  3. Barrier moisturiser
  4. V.supple® Radiance+: press in as your finishing layer
  5. V.supple® PureLash Conditioner: swipe through lashes and brows once daily, preferably at night

Body: the “itchy season” fix

After showering, while skin still feels slightly damp:

  • Apply V.supple® Nourish to arms, legs, and anywhere that feels dry or easily irritated.

Trend Desk: what has moved fast in skincare lately (and what we like)

In the last few months, the trend conversation has sharpened. Less about complicated routines, more about long-term skin comfort and resilience.

1) Barrier-first is no longer niche

Barrier support has become the baseline for modern routines. Expect to keep seeing ingredients like ceramides, ectoin, peptides, and multi-layer hydration systems in serious formulas.

2) Biotech becomes mainstream language

Beauty media is full of biotech terms right now, especially exosomes and polynucleotides/PDRN. The important bit for customers is this: the marketing is loud, but the evidence and regulation vary widely by product type and claim. Our stance stays steady: calm skin, supported barrier, and clear, responsible communication.

3) “Skin longevity” and “cellness” energy

The trend direction is toward skin that looks and feels well supported over time, rather than quick-fix intensity. Translation: people want routines they can actually keep doing.

4) Lip care is now skincare

Lip routines are becoming layered and treatment-like, with ingredients that sound like facial skincare. This is exactly why we are excited about V.supple® HydraLip+ as a true comfort-first balm, not a glossy afterthought.

5) Body and scalp care have levelled up

The face is no longer the only focus. Body serums, barrier body oils, scalp treatments, and gentle “skinification” formats are now expected in grown-up routines.

Recipe: Autumn roast pumpkin and lentil salad

Ingredients

  • 600 g pumpkin, cubed
  • 1 tin brown lentils, rinsed
  • Rocket or baby spinach
  • Feta (or a vegan alternative)
  • Pepitas (Pumpkin Seeds)
  • Olive oil, salt, pepper
  • Optional: pomegranate seeds

Dressing

  • Olive oil
  • Lemon juice
  • Dijon mustard
  • Honey or maple syrup
  • Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Roast pumpkin at 200°C until caramelised.
  2. Toss greens, lentils, warm pumpkin, feta, pepitas.
  3. Shake dressing in a jar, pour, toss.
  4. Eat it warm or cold, it holds up beautifully.

The bloke’s upgrade (yes, we went there)

If you are looking at this salad thinking, “Nice, but where’s the proper feed?”, chuck a couple or three chicken thighs in the pan with a splash of white wine, salt, pepper and smoked paprika, then pile it on top like you mean it.

And yes, these are real images of what I have actually cooked. Even better, my Mrs loves them, so it is basically a proven system.

More options for you meat eaters:

  • Spicy chorizo coins: quick pan-fry, toss through, job done.
  • Lamb backstrap strips: hot pan, quick sear, rest, slice, hero move.
  • BBQ snag slices: zero shame, maximum Aussie comfort

Music: The Autumn Edit playlist (warm, calm, a bit luminous)

  • London Grammar, Hey Now
  • Sade, By Your Side
  • Angus and Julia Stone, Big Jet Plane
  • Fleetwood Mac, Dreams
  • The Paper Kites, Bloom
  • Billie Eilish, Ocean Eyes
  • Rhye, Open
  • James Blake, Retrograde
  • Norah Jones, Sunrise
  • Bon Iver, Holocene
  • Massive Attack, Teardrop
  • Childish Gambino, Redbone

Ask Dr Tonia

Q: Why does skin feel more reactive in Autumn?

Because the environment changes quickly. Wind, cooler air, and indoor heating can all reduce surface comfort. When the barrier is under pressure, skin can feel more “reactive” even if nothing is wrong.

Q: Should I add stronger actives in Autumn?

Only if your skin is stable. If your skin feels unsettled, Autumn is often the season to simplify, not escalate.

Q: Is it normal to suddenly need more moisture?

Yes. Many people need an extra supportive layer as humidity drops. Consistency usually beats intensity.

Q: What is the most overlooked step?

How you apply products. Pressing and patting, reducing friction, and keeping routines repeatable matters more than chasing ten new steps.

The Autumn Comfort Wardrobe Edit

What you wear can make skin feel calmer, or quietly worse, especially when skin is dry, reactive, or easily chafed.

1) Fabrics that usually feel best on sensitive skin - layers, layers, layers!

  • Cotton (especially soft jersey or combed cotton)
  • Bamboo viscose (often very soft, watch blends if they feel clingy)
  • TENCEL Lyocell (smooth, breathable, less scratch)
  • Silk (great for low friction, especially sleepwear and scarves)
  • Fine merino (only if it is genuinely soft and non-itch, avoid if you react)

Avoid, if you are flaring:

  • Rough wool, mohair, and itchy knits
  • Tight synthetics that trap heat and sweat
  • Anything labelled “textured”, “ribbed”, or “scratchy” if you are already irritated

2) Fit matters more than you think

When skin is unsettled, friction is a trigger. Choose:

  • Relaxed waistbands
  • Softer seams
  • Slightly looser sleeves and necklines
  • Mid-rise styles that do not dig in

If you keep one rule: if it leaves a deep mark on your skin, it is probably not your Autumn friend.

3) Layering without irritation

Layering can be soothing if the base layer is right.

  • Start with a soft base layer (cotton, lyocell, silk)
  • Add warmth as the outer layer
  • If knits itch, wear a thin base layer under them

4) Underwear and bras: the high-impact swap

If you are dry, reactive, or itchy, this is often the easiest comfort upgrade.

  • Look for seam-minimised, soft elastic, breathable cotton gussets
  • Avoid lace edges or tight mesh when skin is flaring
  • Consider wireless or soft-cup styles on high sensitivity days

5) Activewear for reactive skin days

Choose activewear that stays breathable and does not cling too tightly.

  • Softer, matte fabrics that wick gently
  • Shorts or leggings that do not ride up
  • If you get sweat irritation, change and shower sooner rather than later

6) Sleepwear: make it low friction

  • Soft cotton or linen sets
  • Avoid tight cuffs and heavy waistbands
  • If you wake up itchy, swap to a smoother fabric and simplify laundry products

7) Laundry choices that can reduce flare-ups

If your skin is suddenly reactive, laundry products are worth checking.

  • Use fragrance-free detergent where possible
  • Skip fabric softener if you are flaring
  • Add an extra rinse cycle
  • Wash new clothes before wearing
  • Avoid heavily fragranced “scent booster” products

Quick wardrobe checklist for sensitive skin

  • Soft base layer first
  • No itch, no scratch, no tight seams
  • Lower friction fabrics on flare days
  • Breathable underwear always
  • Keep laundry as simple as skincare

Final Edit: a calm exit into the season ahead

Autumn has a quiet way of refining everything. Routines get simpler. Priorities get clearer. Skin asks for steadiness, not noise.

If your skin has felt changeable lately, take that as information, not a failure. This is a season built for comfort-first choices and small rituals that actually stick.
